FRASER'S HILL INTERNATIONAL BIRD RACE

Bird watching is a healthy and academic outdoor sport. It has 250 species of birds in Fraser's Hill. The objectives of the Fraser's Hill International Bird Race are to preserve nature and simultaneously to promote Fraser's Hill as a bird sanctuary. It involves a team of 3 and indentifying as many birds species in 24 hours . This event enjoys to support from MNS and WWF.

RAMDHAN (FASTING)

This is the month where all Muslims are to perform the fasting (puasa). Breaking of fasts are done in individual homes or mosques and suraus. These days, the local authorities all throughout Malaysia have created the Bazar Ramadhan in the main towns to sell delicasies.

After fasting from dawn to dusk for a month, Hari Raya Aidilfitri is a day that signifies victory for Muslims everywhere. Decked in their traditional finery, friends and family from near and far come together to celebrate this joyous occasion. Commonly known as Hari Raya Haji, this festival marks the culmination of the Hajj pilgrimage to Mekah which is performed by millions of Muslims annually. It is also known as Hari Raya Qurban. Muslims in the country celebrate the festival with prayers and the sacrifice of cattle.

Sungai Lembing is wll-known for havuing the deepest, with the depth of 610m - 710m under-ground tin-mine. Amongst teh events organized are the runs covering the 7 suspended bridges, 1960 star, mini-cars competition, exhibition of high-powered motorcycles, sales of traditional cakes, Orang Asli handicrafts and cultural shows.
