Beserah
is a quaint fishing village and is well-known for salted fish.
But what many people do not know is the very unique practice
of the Beserah fisherman: They employ water buffalo to transport
fish from the boats to the processing area. Beserah is the
only place in Malaysia where buffalo are used on the beaches.

Apart from fresh fish and dried salted fish, Beserah is also known for its quality processed fish products such as 'keropok kering' and 'keropok lekor' - types of traditional crackers.
