Kuala
Rompin is the first stop in Pahang if you are approaching
the state from either Johor Bahru or Singapore. It is 133 km
from Kuantan. The gateway to the magnificent Endau-Rompin
State Park as well as the sea gateway to the Tioman Islands,
Kuala Rompin itself is not short of attractive destinations.
It offers water lovers a choice of exciting yet soothing
holiday destinations.
Don't
forget to take home some lovely rattan souvenirs produced by
the Orang Asli or aborigines living in the surrounding lush
green forest. If you're a seafood lover, the months of
September and October are the best time to visit Rompin,
especially for lobsters. They are usually caught fresh from
Rompin River, Nenasi River, Anak Endau River and Endau
River.
